Ohio City Pizzeria
In July 2019, Sweeney helped Ohio City Pizzeria launch its re-grand opening with an entire rebrand. This campaign supports a nonprofit mission tied to the restaurant's new owners, The West Side Catholic Center. Unlike your typical pizzeria, Ohio City Pizzeria helps the formerly incarcerated find employment through job training and support. Profits go back to the West Side Catholic Center in order to assist the Cleveland community including the homeless.
I lead the rebranding process for the pizzeria, capturing the client’s interest of retaining a traditional Italian style while merging it with the hip and trendy atmosphere of the Ohio City location. I designed the logo, the emblem being a homage to the Ohio City crest that locals often refer to as the “Pizza Slice”.
