The Centers 2015 Annual Report

Every year, The Centers for Families and Children compiles a detailed Annual Report to discuss the previous year’s revenue, contributions, earnings, donations, and other relevant information. My job was to collaborate with the senior designer in order to take the report further, telling unique stories about the nonprofit’s work through design.

I developed a plan to utilize physical typography within real locations in which The Centers services take place. Together, we ran photoshoots in classrooms at our Early Learning Centers, the Cleveland RTA bus depot where our workforce development clients can find training and employment, and an examination room in one of our many Health and Wellness locations. Our goal was to highlight the core principles of The Centers’ three service areas, Wellness, Education, and Careers.

To address the many services provided by The Centers, I created and illustrated an icon set for the nonprofit that made its debut within the 2015 Annual Report. Throughout the next year, these icons would be expanded upon within additional projects including donor materials, banners, motion graphics, and more.
