The Centers for Families and Children
2016-2017 Events
The Centers is known for its many annual sponsorship, volunteer, and staff events. I provided my creative skills in the ideation, development, and production of all event themes and collateral.
2016 Annual Benefit Luncheon with Amanda Berry
The Centers was honored to host a talk with survivor, hero, and mother, Amanda Berry, focusing on concepts of motherhood and early childhood education. As Creatives, we developed and designed an event theme that paired soft watercolor textures with bold typography to represent motherly nature while being strong, resilient and independent. Carrying this design through the event collateral, I created event wayfinding, sponsor signs, programs, table signs, and more.
The Centers 2016
Annual All Staff Event
Every year, The Centers brings together their 550+ employees to celebrate each other’s work and dedication to the nonprofit and Cleveland community. I took a major role in the creation of the All Staff Event design assets and collateral, focusing on a theme of summer celebration and Cleveland pride. We ran an incredibly successful social challenge for our staff to take selfies with Centers branded sunglasses at their favorite places in Cleveland. We also created a highly energetic dancing highlight video of employees at their 17 locations.
2017 Taste Latino
Taste Latino is The Centers’ annual benefit event that promotes their El Barrio Workforce Development Centers. For 2017, I collaborated with our senior designer to create designs that incorporated imagery and quotes of Frida Kahlo as a metaphor to the strong independence and endurance of The Centers’ clients as they seek job training and future careers. I created the event’s program, wayfinding, sponsor signs, and other event collateral.
2016 Turkey Giveaway
Prior to Thanksgiving of 2016, Mo Vaughn Enterprises graciously donated 3,000+ turkeys to The Centers for Families and Children. I provided flyer designs and wayfinding for the event. I also photographed
the giveaway.
